Cameroon International Cultural Festival

The Cameroon International Cultural Festival UK (CICFEST UK) is a vibrant cultural and community platform created to celebrate, preserve, and promote Cameroon’s rich and diverse cultural heritage in the United Kingdom.

Under the theme “Bridging Cultures, Celebrating Cameroon,” CICFEST UK brings together Cameroonians from all backgrounds, generations and regions to celebrate the beauty of Cameroon through traditional food, fashion, music, dance, arts, games, languages, enterprise and cultural expressions.

At the heart of CICFEST UK is a commitment to connecting the next generation to their roots. The festival provides children and young people of Cameroonian heritage born and raised in the UK with meaningful opportunities to discover their culture, understand their identity and embrace important values of family, respect, discipline and community.

Beyond cultural celebration, CICFEST UK creates a platform for unity, community networking, business promotion, talent development and cultural exchange, while showcasing the richness and excellence of Cameroon to the wider UK community.

CICFEST UK envisions a future where children of Cameroonian heritage born and raised in the UK remain connected to their roots, understand and take pride in their cultural identity, and embrace important values of family, respect, discipline, responsibility and community. Through culture, education and shared experiences, we aim to bring Cameroon closer to its diaspora, strengthen the spirit of unity and patriotism, and create a lasting bridge between generations.

Our vision is for CICFEST UK to become a leading platform for celebrating Cameroonian culture, connecting communities, empowering businesses and talent, and showcasing the very best of Cameroon to the United Kingdom and the wider world.

Our Objective

1. Connect Children to Their Heritage Bring Cameroonian culture closer to children and young people born and raised in the UK, particularly those with limited knowledge of Cameroon, through language, history, storytelling, music, dance, food, traditional clothing, games and other cultural experiences.

2. Pass on Cultural Values Promote positive values such as family unity, respect, discipline, responsibility, hard work and community spirit, ensuring that these values and traditions are passed from one generation to the next.

3. Strengthen Unity and Patriotism Reconnect Cameroonians in the UK and diaspora with their cultural roots, strengthen their sense of belonging, and reignite pride and a positive spirit of patriotism towards Cameroon.

4. Celebrate and Showcase Cameroonian Culture Bring Cameroonians together to proudly celebrate the country's rich cultural diversity through food, traditional attire, music, dance, languages, arts, crafts, games and customs, while sharing this heritage with the wider UK community.

5. Promote Cameroonian Businesses and Talent Provide a high-visibility platform for Cameroonian-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals, artists, creatives and innovators to showcase their work, build their brands and access new opportunities.
